# How to Issue an Action in a Customer Profile

Use this when you need to issue an action to a single customer.

Why you'd want to: say you have a flow that starts when a particular action is issued, and you need this customer to enter it.

<Note>
  In a customer profile, you can only issue actions from the **Customer's personal actions** first-level category.

  If you have a lot of customers, use [bulk action import](/import-data/actions/how-to-bulk-import-actions-from-a-file) instead.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the customer profile">
    On the **Customers** tab, click the name of the customer you need.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select Add action from the menu" />

  <Step title="Pick the action template and click Add">
    On multi-brand accounts, pick the brand too.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check the result">
    The action shows up in the customer's profile under **Activity feed**.
