# What is a Folder, and How to Create One

A **folder** groups campaigns that share a goal. "Campaigns" here covers campaigns, forms, flows, and promo code pools.

<Note>
  Take an **Abandoned mechanics** folder: it can hold the campaigns, flows, promo codes, and pop-ups for abandoned carts and abandoned browses. Or a **Manual campaigns 2025** folder for that year's promotional sends.
</Note>

The **Campaigns** section holds every campaign in the account.

To see what's inside a folder, pick it in the folder filter.

You can filter campaigns further (by status, by name) and sort them (by name, creation date, and so on).

There's also a grid view of all folders, where you can see the breakdown by campaign and jump straight to the one you need.

## How to create a folder

<Steps>
  <Step title="Go to Campaign Manager" />

  <Step title="Click Create folder" />

  <Step title="Fill in the fields">
    * **Name** — the folder's name in the system.
    * **Description** — what the folder is for. Required.
    * **Segment** — if you limit a folder to a segment, its campaigns can only fire for customers in that segment.
    * **Brand** — multi-brand accounts only. Tie a folder to a brand and its campaigns will only reach that brand's customers.
    * **Parent folder** — for nesting. Accounts support a two-level folder structure, so a folder that already has child folders can't be nested inside another folder.

    <Note>
      Segment restrictions don't apply to personalization forms and quizzes. Use the form's targeting settings instead.
    </Note>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Create" />
</Steps>

## How to edit a folder

1. Switch to the folder grid view.
2. Open the folder's menu and select **Edit**.
3. Make your changes and click **Save**:

* **Name** — the folder's name in the system.
* **Description** — what the folder is for.

## How to delete a folder

<Note>
  You can only delete empty folders — no campaigns, flows, or anything else inside.
</Note>

1. Switch to the folder grid view.
2. Open the folder's menu and select **Delete**.
3. Confirm.
