# How to Add a Payment Method

Customers can pay for an order in different ways — cash, credit or debit card, and so on. You can record these payment methods in Maestra Platform and pass them along with your order data.

  <Step title="Fill in the fields">
    * **Name** — the payment method name shown in the list.
    * **External ID** — the payment method's ID in your external system. It's how the payment method is written in your integrations.
