How Customer De-anonymization Works

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Maestra stores customer actions even before a customer registers, so you can deliver a smoother experience to anonymous users.
Once the user registers, these actions are automatically linked to the identified customer profile based on their device UUID.

Here’s what gets tracked and stored:

  • 120 days — site visits.

  • 30 days — interactions with widgets, pop-ups, and embedded blocks (impressions and clicks).

  • 7 days — product and category views.

Important

Data from asynchronous calls is stored with the status "Unidentified customer" and is executed as soon as the user is identified on that device.

Any actions taken before de-anonymization are added to the project only after the customer is recognized. Because of this, the creation date in the system may be later than the actual time of the event.
