# How to Add a Multi-Use Promo Code Pool to a Promotion

This guide explains how to add a pool of multi-use promo codes to a promotion and configure it so that each customer can only redeem the code once.

## Instructions

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create a pool of promo codes">
    Create a pool of promo codes following the standard pool creation instructions. Set the following options:

    * **Processing**: Maestra
    * **Promo code type**: Multi-use

    The pool must be in the **Ready to use** status before you can attach it to a promotion.

  <Step title="Create a discount promotion">
    Create a new discount promotion and select the benefit you want to offer in the **Products** or **Order contents** section.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Attach the pool in Availability conditions">
    Open the **Availability conditions** section of the promotion and select the pool you created in step 1.

    Once the pool is attached, a link to this promotion will appear on the pool's page under the **Usage** section.

  <Step title="Set a personal usage limit">
    Open the **Limits** section and set a personal limit on the number of times the promo code can be triggered per customer. To allow each customer to use the code only once, set this limit to 1.

  <Step title="Launch the promotion">
    Activate the promotion to make it available to customers.
