The Subscribers report shows how your subscriber base is growing across channels and topics, how many people are opting in and out, and how many contacts are unreachable. Use it to track list health, plan acquisition campaigns, and export raw data for deeper analysis. You can find this report under Analytics → Subscribers.
Data is refreshed daily by 8:00 a.m. and reflects the previous day.

Data availability by channel

Historical data depth depends on the channel:
  • SMS and Viber — data is available from late 2019.
  • Email — data is accurate from 2026 onward.
  • Mobile Push and Web Push — data is tracked starting from early 2023.

Report settings

By default, the report opens for the last three months, broken down by week.
  • Time period: Set dates manually or use presets (last week, last month, or last six months). The end date of the interval is inclusive.
  • Audience selection: Choose which subscribers to analyze:
    • Customers subscribed to any channel
    • Customers subscribed to at least one topic within a selected channel
    • Customers subscribed to a channel regardless of topic
    • Customers subscribed to a specific topic within a channel
  • Granularity: Group data by day, week, or month.

Report metrics

Subscribers

Customers with a valid contact and an active subscription within the selected audience. The report displays:
  • The number of subscribers
  • Their share of the total customer base on the project (%)
  • The change over the period, shown in both absolute values and percentages
For the Mobile Push channel, “valid contact” means the customer has granted push permission in at least one app.

Requires confirmation

Customers with a valid contact who are waiting to confirm their subscription within the selected audience. The report displays:
  • The number of customers
  • The change over the period, shown in both absolute values and percentages
This metric is only available if double opt-in is currently enabled on the project, or was enabled in the past.

Unreachable

Customers who cannot receive campaigns in the selected audience:
  • With an invalid contact
  • Without a contact
  • Without subscription data
  • Unsubscribed
If a specific channel is selected, the report also shows the number of customers without a contact for that channel.

Charts

Growth chart

The top chart shows subscriber growth. Formula: Growth = Subscribers at the end of the period − Subscribers at the start of the period Example: The chart is built for the month of March 1–31:
  • March 1 — 10,000 subscribers
  • March 31 — 10,500 subscribers
  • Growth = 10,500 − 10,000 = 500 subscribers

Subscriptions and unsubscribes chart

This chart shows the volume and dynamics of new subscribers and unsubscribes. New subscribers are customers who, during the period:
  • Subscribed to a channel
  • Provided a contact
  • Had their contact become reachable
Unsubscribes are customers who, during the period:
  • Moved to the “Unsubscribed” status or “Subscription pending confirmation”
  • Lost a valid contact
  • Were merged with another customer
  • Were deleted from the database
If a customer subscribes and unsubscribes on the same day, they are not counted in the subscriptions or unsubscribes for that day.

What the report is useful for

In addition to tracking subscription and unsubscribe dynamics on your project, you can:
  • Export the report for internal analytics
  • Decide whether to invest in acquiring new subscribers if unsubscribes are outpacing opt-ins
  • Set up pop-ups to collect contacts if a large share of customers have no contact on file

How to export the report

Frequently asked questions

Why is there a sharp spike in subscriptions on the chart?

Possible causes:
  • A customer import into the project
  • A bulk edit of customers (via import or in a workflow)
  • Acquisition campaigns aimed at growing the subscriber list

Why did unsubscribes spike suddenly?

Check the following:
  • Manual customer deletions on the project
  • Automatic customer deletion settings
  • Customer merges
  • Bulk customer edits — verify that no incorrect subscription status was passed

How do customer deletions affect the report?

Manual deletion — the report is recalculated weekly, on the Saturday following the deletion. The drop will appear on the chart for the preceding Friday.
Example: Customers are deleted on Wednesday. The data is recalculated on Saturday, but the decrease in the number of subscribers shows up on the chart for Friday, not Wednesday.
Automatic deletion — customers are added to the unsubscribed count during the daily recalculation of the report.

Why do the Mobile Push and Web Push charts show a spike in early 2023?

Data for the Mobile Push and Web Push channels has only been tracked since early 2023. As a result, the report may show an apparent jump in subscribers at that point.
