A pop-up trigger button is a small, persistent element fixed to the side of your site that opens a pop-up when a visitor clicks it. It’s useful when you want the form available on demand — for example, a “Get 10% off” tab that floats on every page, or a “Contact us” button that opens a feedback form.

When to use a trigger button

Use a button instead of (or in addition to) automatic display when:
  • The offer should always be reachable, not just triggered once per session.
  • You don’t want to interrupt the visitor with an unsolicited pop-up.
  • The pop-up should reopen after being closed, so visitors can return to it.

Open the button settings

Open your pop-up in the editor. In the form settings, enable Show trigger button. A new configuration section appears with the button’s options.

Configure the button

Setting up the trigger button takes six steps.
1

Choose a template

Pick one of the preset button templates. Each one gives you a different default layout — text-only, icon-only, or icon plus label.
2

Customize the appearance

Adjust the button to match your brand:
  • Upload a custom icon or image
  • Set the button size
  • Choose the background and text color
  • Set the font and font size
3

Choose the position

Place the button where you want it on the screen — left edge, right edge, bottom-left, bottom-right, and so on. You can set a different position for desktop, tablet, and phone using the device-preview icons at the top of the editor.
4

Set display conditions (behavior settings)

Decide when the button is visible:
  • Always show to all visitors. The button appears on every page where the form’s targeting matches.
  • Show after the pop-up is closed. The button only appears once the visitor dismisses the pop-up — useful as a way to reopen it.
  • Show only when targeting conditions match. The button respects the same targeting rules as the pop-up itself.
5

Set the pop-up to open on click

In Trigger conditions, choose the option that opens the pop-up when the button is clicked. Without this, the button will display but won’t do anything.
6

Preview on your site

Use Preview on site to test the button. Preview mode ignores targeting and trigger conditions, so you can verify the button’s position and appearance even on pages where it normally wouldn’t show.
For a button that should always be available — like a permanent “Subscribe” tab — pair Always show to all visitors with a pop-up that has no automatic trigger condition. The pop-up only opens when the button is clicked, never on its own.
Device-specific positioning matters more than it looks. A button anchored to the bottom-right of a desktop screen often overlaps a chat widget or a mobile bottom navigation bar. Always preview on every device before publishing.
