You can update a customer’s personal data directly from their customer profile in Maestra. Use this when a customer asks you to correct their email, phone number, name, or any other field stored on their profile, or when you spot stale data that needs to be fixed by hand.
Editing personal data is subject to applicable privacy law (GDPR, CCPA, and similar regulations). Only edit fields you have a lawful basis to change, and keep an audit trail through the change history.

Steps

1

Open the customer profile

Find the customer in the customer list and click their full name to open the customer profile.
2

Switch to edit mode

Click the Edit button on the profile.
3

Update the field you need to change

Change the value of any editable field. For example, you can update the customer’s email address, phone number, first or last name, date of birth, or any other personal data field shown on the profile.
4

Save the changes

Click Save. The new values are written to the customer profile immediately.

What happens after you save

  • The updated values appear on the customer profile right away.
  • Every change is recorded in the customer’s change history, so you can see who edited which field and when.
  • Any scheduled segment that uses the edited field will reflect the new value on its next refresh. Real-time segments and flows that read the field at runtime will pick up the new value immediately.
If you need to update the same field for many customers at once, use a bulk import instead of editing profiles one by one.
