About Sessions: Why a Customer Has Actions That Happened Before They Appeared in the Database
The Maestra JS tracker and mobile app SDK record every visitor action on your website or in your app — whether or not that visitor already exists in your project’s database.
A session is an uninterrupted chain of actions on the website or in the app. The gap between any two actions in the same session must be no longer than 30 minutes.
Actions taken by anonymous visitors are stored and then pulled into the customer profile once that visitor enters the database, following the deanonymization rules.
