When two customer profiles are merged, Maestra has to decide which segments the resulting profile belongs to. The rules differ depending on whether the segment is static or scheduled.

Static segment

If only one of the source customers is in a static segment, the merged profile stays in that same segment. If the source customers belong to different segments within the same segmentation, the merged profile is assigned to the segment with the more recent entry date — the one that reflects the customer’s most current state.

Scheduled segment

The merged customer ends up in every scheduled segment that either of the source customers was in.
If the merged profile no longer matches a scheduled segment’s criteria, it will be removed from that segment at the next recalculation.
