Sometimes the person who places an order isn’t the one receiving it — it’s a gift, or it was simply easier to pay from someone else’s account. In that case, you can pass the recipient’s phone number when the order is placed, then set up the flow to send the message to that number.

How it works

  • The message goes to the number from the order, even if that number isn’t in your database.
  • No new customer is created. The action is issued to the customer who placed the order, and the recipient’s number shows up in the campaign details.
  • The recipient’s data is never used to update an existing customer.
When the flow is set to send to the contact from the order, but the order doesn’t include that contact, the message goes to the customer’s primary contacts instead.

Mobile push specifics

  • The recipient must already be in your Maestra Platform database.
  • Pass the recipient’s mobile phone number in the order. Maestra Platform uses it to find their customer profile, checks whether they have the app installed, and sends the push with the order details to the app.
